EP 1: The Who, Why & What of Growth and Grace

Growth & Grace Podcast Episode #1

Hey! I’m Amber Lea Gray, a 30 something year old, Mississippi Girl living just north of ATL, GA. I've been married to my husband (husby), Andrew, for a little over 5 years. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat, and absolutely love our little fur family.

I am a multi-passionate personality! What does that mean? It means that I like to try new things. I like to learn new things. I like to explore new places and to learn people’s stories. I have a photography business, I have a Master’s in Counseling, a Master’s of Divinity. I've worked in mental health, assisting people with disabilities find gainful employment, I've been a pastor, a photographer, I'm part of a multi level marketing company that I absolutely love!

Yes, I have a lot on my plate…but what I've come to realize over the last several months is that all things I love all have one mission. I want to help women feel empowered and competent. BUT more than just a feeling. I want to help give women the practical skills they need to have the life they dream about.

So this podcast is for the women who want more, who are hungry for change, and who are willing to get their hands dirty. We are going to take a journey together, grow together. And when we mess up, when we fall flat on our face….we are going to have grace for ourselves and for each other.

So, what am I doing here?! Well, I feel called to women's empowerment work, and I'm realizing that I have gifts and skills that can help people, especially women…and I felt likeI needed to share them. So I decided to start a podcast as my way to share!

My ultimate goal is to have a community. I want to create space for women to self-reflect. I want to help women learn new skills to deal with the chaos of life. I want to create space to connect online, through our growth & grace FB page, but also create space to connect in real life with meet ups and retreats. We can learn from each other!

The more I talk to women, these are the words they are using to describe their lives:

Too many Hats
Un Happy

That is not the life we are called to have. I want to help women feel:

Like they are contributing
Connected to Community
In control

So, thank you for hanging out with me to day, and starting this journey with me! I'm so excited you're here, and I can't wait the ways you grow with grace.
