The Art
A little color. A little whimsy. A whole lot of joy.
Watercolor is my medium of choice, with a little mixed media thrown in from time to time. I love bright colors, loose brushstrokes, and the way watercolor has a mind of its own. There's something so fun about watching colors move and mix on the page, never quite knowing what they'll do.

My Art Journey
I've been making things for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, I was always dreaming up something creative. From painting rocks to side walk chalk, I've never needed much of an excuse to pull out the art supplies and make a mess.
I picked up some watercolor a local craft store back in 2022, during a particularly difficult season. I hadn't painted with watercolors since high school, and honestly, I was just looking for an outlet. There was so much uncertainty in my life, and painting gave me somewhere to put all the things I was carrying.
Somewhere along the way, watercolor became a form of prayer.
There's only so much you can control with watercolor. The water moves, the colors bleed into one another, and sometimes the painting takes a completely different direction than you intended. I had to loosen my grip, surrender a little, and learn to work with whatever emerged on the page.
And in a season when I desperately wanted to know how everything was going to turn out, those little moments with paint and paper became a surprising source of grace. They reminded me that beauty can emerge from uncertainty, and I’ve been painting ever since.
